what happened lately

have found a little journal called Expat Life - I'm told it's read in pubs, hotels' lobbies etc. quote: "When asked what I thought about Romania, I used to reply that Romania is a country full of stupid people. Then quickly add that England is also a country full of stupid people. The difference being that in England the stupid people clean the streets, in Romania they run major companies and they are your government. Obviously this was unfair but it usually got a laugh."

It is interesting to see Romanians through expats' eyes. I have also met Thomas, who does a similar job with mine at pressreview, only he is English and works for The Budapest Sun. I have to prepare some tests for my philosophy of language exam tomorrow now (not sure this is good English :-).

back to work

My vacation is over. I am back with a few short stories in Romanian, which I intend to post on my site at pcnet and at spymac. I have finally managed to use webcam images as a base for producing midi. From there the output goes to a soft synthesizer or an aleatoric composer like koan. Now I can produce strange tunes by moving my hands :)

There is also a project for a student newspaper. It should work like this: the material is supposed to be entered in html forms. Then, using perl, the edition is going to be produced as html pages to be uploaded on the site.

I am still looking for a free web host provider granting acces to a cgi folder for scripts made in perl. I should also learn php. I started to read Gombrowitz's Journal, it's interesting. Still I can't read a lot at a time, I feel that his style would distort my thinking. That's it.
