I should have done this a long time ago. If there's anybody visiting this blog anymore, I do apologize. I have moved here, where I blog toghether with Ramona, mostly in Romanian (we do, however, write a few posts in English, now and then). Bye! :)

The idea seemed interesting. I did a lot of things but never got time to write here about it. I hope to update my blog in a few days.

Back from vacation - lots of things to be done

yes, we are back from our vacation; this is a strange pic of a strange looking dog, btw :)

I have to finish a few papers and update my academic site. We also have to pay our bills and find of solution to the heating problem for the next winter.

End of academic year (almost)

Since we have more free time on our hands, we (Ramona and me, that is) got involved in several artistic/creative projects - short stories, movie clips, photos etc. I finally have access to my web site on our faculty server, so I work for a big update. Before we leave Bucharest for the Black Sea coast there are still a lot of things to be done.

Ramona is working at her site, SocioLogos, while I try to finish a paper on how the tagging system could change the way we conceive classification - perhaps it will get published in the Sociologos Journal...

Apart from photoblogging I started to be also interested in videoblogging, so this is my first video post here.

I've found this clip on dailymotion and it made a strong impression on me. It is about how a transsexual (the "T" in "LGBT" which is sometimes forgotten) sees himself and how he/she has to cope with the prejudices of the society.

I was told (by my girlfriend) that the background music is from the Lord of the Rings (actually, that was correct for the first version of the movie; now the music is from Goran Bregovic). The clip comes from Portugal.

Just discovered videoblogging

This is the place where I grew up in Brasov. I don't realy know why I wanted to put this on my blog :) Initially I just wanted to test the blogging feature that flickr provides. Then I was disappointed with flickr and uploaded the pic here.

Apart from this, I started to be interested in videoblogging. The academic year is about to end, I want to work at some of my papers on philosophy of language topics.

I also started to be interested in social science subjects. My girlfriend told me many interesting things about sociology schools, trends and disciplinary fields and I think I can relate what I've found out from her to what I already knew from the Epistemology of Social Sciences course I took when I was a student.
